Enhancing reading in multicutural community library, Switzerland (2018-2020)

Between 2018 and 2022, the Magic Libraries Foundation (MLF) provided twice financial support to the LivrEchange association, a community library based in Fribourg, Switzerland.

The association LivrEchange promotes the joy of reading through storytelling and playful reading activities in several languages and offers children access to books in 265 different languages. The funding enabled the acquisition of 748 new foreign-language or bilingual books and the organisation of 82 multilingual reading activities for children and families attending the library or reading sessions in underprivileged neighbourhoods.
