Magic Libraries promotes a contextualized and customized approach of its projects. Magic Libraries wishes to be flexible in its approach, respectful of national education policies and considers the efforts led by stakeholders in education and reading literacy. Magic Libraries works in partnership with local organizations and institutions who share similar objectives and values and will support projects that are socially and culturally rooted. Through sustained dialogues, Magic Libraries and partners will strive to enhance reading literacy and achieve demonstrable results.
As the acquisition of reading is a complex and multidimensional process, Magic Libraries will support projects and approaches that integrate both formal and informal education processes. Magic Libraries believes that reading in the mother tongue in early stages of a child’s development guarantees stronger for a child to acquire a second language or the national language instructed at school. Hence, the foundation will promote cultural and linguistic diversity by enabling communities to protect their cultural heritage and develop their minority ethnic languages.
